Thanks for the “Awesomeness” – Nov 25th

Okay! So my sister still doesn’t answer my calls. It’s been like two days already? What now??

And then I looked at the calendar: It’s the 25th of November. OKAY!!! I got it. She must be really busy. Tomorrow is 26th and for some people who aren’t aware yet (like me) that it’s THANKSGIVING DAY. Well obviously, we don’t celebrate it here in Manila. So I googled it, as expected.

Thanks for the “Awesomeness”

As I’m sitting here in our cozy living room, I reflect on my life and smile. I realized I have so much to be thankful for.

People nowadays are busy chasing things after things. We forget to be grateful for our present achievements, gifts, blessings – Yes, I’m guilty. We forget to live in the moment. We always caught up with our past and anxious about the future.  Looking back now, I realized that I’m way better than before. I may not reach my ultimate goal yet, but I know it’s already there for me in the Infinite.

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” –Oprah Winfrey

This year has been one of the best years so far. I want to take this opportunity to thank God for the vibrant colors in my life – great, numerous opportunities, happy family, healthy lifestyle.  Plus, damn, I have the most terrific people in my life!

Make gratitude a part of your daily ritual, independent of how you feel — and not just once each November, but all year long. This Thanksgiving, don’t express gratitude only when you feel it. Give thanks even in the face of adversity. With gratitude comes happiness and with happiness comes more gratitude.
